WORKERS' COMP · 300 EMPLOYEES
A high EMod and no structured safety program
THE PROBLEMA 300 employee company was paying well above average for workers' comp. Its EMod was high, injuries were frequent, and there was no structured safety program behind the work.
WHAT WE DIDWe built the program from the ground up using the Foundation Gap Model: written programs, supervisor training, field verification, and claims follow through, and we stayed with it for three years.
THE RESULTTheir EMod drop alone saved $150,000 in premiums. Accidents went down, recordables nearly disappeared, and insurance issues stopped.
DRYWALL CONTRACTOR · FLORIDA
Growing crews, no one running safety
THE PROBLEMA drywall contractor was adding crews and sites faster than it could manage safety. There was no in-house safety staff, no regular safety meetings, and no plan for who would handle an OSHA visit.
WHAT WE DIDWe became their safety department. We run the monthly safety committee, write procedure trainings for foremen and superintendents, supply toolbox talks for the crews, and serve as the first call if OSHA arrives on site.
THE RESULTSafety now runs on a schedule, supervisors lead it in the field, and the company has a clear plan for inspections. Recordable incidents dropped by half, the EMod came down, and the contractor began winning bids with a new builder.
COMMERCIAL ROOFING · VIRGINIA
A county demand that stopped the work
THE PROBLEMA roofing contractor received a safety compliance demand from a county government. Work could not move forward until it produced a complete, project specific safety program.
WHAT WE DIDWe delivered a full suite of safety documents and a site specific scaffolding policy written for that project and that county's requirements.
THE RESULTThe contractor had a complete compliance package in hand for the county. The county approved the program and work resumed. The county later adapted much of the program for its own use.
SAFETY STAFFING · NEW MEXICO
Safety professionals for a large data center project
THE PROBLEMA roofing contractor won work on a large data center construction project and needed qualified safety professionals on site quickly, with credentials the general contractor would accept.
WHAT WE DIDWe sourced and placed safety professionals, prepared their resumes for client review, and built and revised the staffing proposal and quote.
THE RESULTThe contractor had qualified safety staff on the project. We placed two qualified safety professionals on the project within one week.
SOLAR AND ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR · CALIFORNIA
Three years of recordkeeping behind
THE PROBLEMAn electrical and solar contractor needed its OSHA injury and illness records in order and a written Injury and Illness Prevention Program, which California requires of every employer.
WHAT WE DIDWe rebuilt three years of OSHA 300A summaries from their hours and injury data and wrote a complete IIPP tailored to their field work.
THE RESULTRecordkeeping is current for every year, and the company has the written program Cal/OSHA expects to see.
PHARMACEUTICAL MANUFACTURER · FLORIDA
Electrical safety for a bilingual workforce
THE PROBLEMA pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing facility needed NFPA 70E electrical safety training that matched its own equipment, its priorities, and a workforce that works in English and Spanish.
WHAT WE DIDWe met with their stakeholders and built a modular program covering meters and voltage rated tools, energized work permits, lockout/tagout, and grounding, with real incident case studies, in 8 hour, 4 hour, and 2 hour formats.
THE RESULTOne program the facility can use for new hires, refreshers, and full training, built around the hazards its people actually face.
